Play

Have you ever gone to a play? I think the last play I ever saw was when I was in high school and it was The Taming of the Shrew put on my our drama class. So, it's been a long long time. A friend of mine bought tickets to go see a play done by The Mighty Corson Art Players. They put on these plays twice a year (spring and fall) at the little white building in Corson just to the north of Brandon. The play was called "The Man Who Came to Dinner". Lonnie, was bored to tears but I loved it. It was set back in the 30's or 40's so it had all these vintage clothes. The actors were great. I don't know how they managed to memorize the amount of dialogue they did. I could never have done it and I bet none of the actors in Hollywood would have been able to do it either. I was completely amazed! In October, they will be putting on their fall production called "Morning's At Seven". The note is says about it is "this comedy dishes up a triple dose of nostalgia". I hope I can go because I sure enjoyed the one I just went too. The building is so small and people are packed into their seats like sardines in a can. That's the bad thing about it but a lot of people line up to go.
