Changes and Worries

This has been a "trying" week. My hubby came home from work on Wednesday MORNING. He was soaking wet. Come to find out, he had been soldering a piece of pipe at work and it triggered one of the sprinkler heads to go off - thereby soaking the room plus the boxes of supplies that were stored there (it was a storage room). Since it was one of the hospitals, he was sent home. On Thursday morning, he was fired from his job. At 1:00pm that same day, he was called back to work to tell his side of the story as to what had happened. Now, tomorrow (Saturday), he has to go back in and tell it all over again. Even though on the of owners said he was fired and none of the other bosses will go against that decision, we find it very odd that they would call him back in twice to explain what happened. As of right now, we are totally without any income. I pray the Lord will look favorably on us and go to battle for us in this situation. My hubby is a hard worker - dedicated, reliable, trustworthy, and always puts out quality work. We both feel this firing was totally unfair. There have been other employees in the past who have made far worse mistakes and were never fired for it.

So, even though I am trying hard to leave the situation in the Lord's hands, it is very difficult not to worry and fret over whether or not he will actually get to keep his job in the end, or whether at the age of 60 and not in the best of health, he will have to go out and try to find another plumbing position. "These are the times that try men's souls..." (and that of their wife's!)
